Philomena Begley, Ireland’s queen of country music, has recorded a song about her friend Billie Jo Spears, who passed away in December 2011. After numerous tours and a friendship going back over 30 years, Philomena recorded this moving tribute for Billie Jo’s Memorial Service held in Texas in January. After numerous requests for the song and with the encouragement of Billie Jo’s family, UK country music label H&H Music release the single and video, in Ireland, England and the USA. Billie Jo (in UK & USA) and Philomena (in Ireland) both had big hits with Blanket On The Ground.
